KALAVAI,FEBRUARY 6: The BJP will continue to "tell the people" about the cases "foisted" against the pontiffs of the Kanchi mutt, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi, said on Sunday. "We have been taking the issue of foisting of cases against the Swamijis (Sri Jayendra Saraswati and Sri Vijayendra Saraswati) to the people. We will continue to tell the people about it," he told reporters at Brindavan Ashram where Sri Jayendra Saraswati is staying after being release on bail from Vellore prison on January 11. Dr Joshi was accompanied by Viswa Hindu Parishad leader Acharya Giriraj Kishore. He said his party would also place before the people the Tamil Nadu Government's "attack on Hinduism and the Kanchi mutt". He said the chargesheet had been filed in the Sankararaman murder case and "we will have to fight the case during the trial". Dr Joshi, who was at the ashram for about an hour, said he could not speak to Sri Jayendra Saraswathi as the Seer was continuing his "mouna vrita" but had participated in a pooja.
