Kalavai: Expressing their unflinching faith in Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi, a large number of devotees continued to throng the Mutt's Brindavan complex in Kalavai, where the Seer has been camping since last week after his release on bail from Vellore prison on January 11.

Since early morning, there has been an unending stream of devotees, who reached this remote town in Vellore district in all kinds of transport.

Spiritual leader Swami Dayananda Saraswathi of Chinmaya Mission arrived in Kalavai shortly before noon and called on the Seer.

Mutt sources said the devotes were bringing in offerings in the form of rice, vegetables and fruits to meet the requirements of the Mutt, whose bank accounts have been frozen.

Meanwhile, the Shankaracharya of Swarnavalli Mutt in Karnataka, Gangadharendra Saraswathi, the first religious head who visited the Seer on January 14, continued to remain in the Mutt here and performed his own poojas.

Gangadharendra Saraswathi is a disciple of Jayendra Saraswathi and had taken 'diksha' from him.
